Triple Threat

Triple Threat

Triple Threat is a side-looking airborne EW antenna system housed in the nose radome of an NKC-135 aircraft. The antenna systems consist of three 1 x 4 foot steerable horn arrays. The array position is computer controlled with information provided by the aircraft Inertial Navigation System (INS). Triple Threat is now standard test equipment for U.S. Navy AEGIS cruiser acceptance testing.

Log Periodic

HF Log Periodic Antenna

The HF Log Periodic antenna provides a linear vertical polarization over a coverage area of 90° azimuth and 60° elevation with a typical gain of 9 dBi. Maximum input power is 2.5 kW over a 30 to 50 MHz frequency range. The antenna is ground-mounted to a short tower affixed to the side of a van. Several of these special units were built to emulate a foreign, high power electronic warfare system.

The antenna can be raised with a winch or by a 4-man team. The disassembled unit can then be stored or shipped in a crate.
